@Topic I recommend you TFS since if your going to make anything be sure to make it good not start with crappy servers and then change to another and to another and other... So yes i recommend you to use TFS and read any tutorial about setting up MySql

SQLite is probably the easiest to use because it's all stored in one big file and you can use a program to edit/insert/delete data

I recommend using the MySQL server that comes with Xampp though because you can log in to it and it's all in web pages with phpMyadmin and still easy to use.

Also, XML sucks.
