I see you have really improved your mapping, and under a short time too. The latest one looks really neat.
 
You seem to like squares a lot, try to make it less.
Else, seeing as how you started & how your latest work was, you've improved.
I personally like the desert building but there's a lot of things to fix aswell.

The walls or do you mean the ground?
Oh yeah about the waterfal I didn't know there was supposed to be a top lol,
also noticed I got no fence on the bridge>.<

And pic fixed.

Aww yea that's true about the bridge :p

Second picture looks good aswell, the entrance to the ruin (?) could use some borders though, I'd suggest 'Metal Fittings' (located in raw palette)

Also you should try out the Frozen Mud brush on the lava, Imo. it looks like dry lava (ash?)
