It's not VIP access that will give you access to a new island or anything. It will give you 20% extra exp and so on. It's clearly optional.

Today we had a small restart to fix some minor bugs.

Fixed:
* Damage Formula for all vocations (mostly knights and paladins)
* Slingshot now has 90% hit accuracy
* Increased healing for Knights
* Increased damage with various holy spells

Removed:
* All snow in Thais was removed

Today we had a small event for an update.

Added:
* Haunted Woods event (Also known as 'Zombie Event')
* New raid system. Will add schedule to the website soon.

Fixed:
* Northern Zao is now easier to access (No quests needed)
* Slingshot should deal more damage now
* Minor bugs
* Red skull frag limit.

Removed:
* Secret spawn of Demodras

Dhanera is experiencing server shutdown late at night but this issue is currently being investigated and hopefully fixed by tonight.
