That's a very poor argument for not allowing criticism.
Do you have to be a game developer to tell if a game is bad? No. Same thing here, you don't need to be a hoster to say a server is bad.
Not to mention very few hosters actually contribute to the code they use (Iryont and Remere are the ones that come to mind).
