How about reading the manuals if you don't understand?

All you have to do is to type cd 0.2/ and then write ./TheForgottenServer, if you don't understand how to do that then Linux isn't for you.

after i added in my updates, monsters, npcs, custom items, etc..

i ran it and this is what i get...


Also, my database, how would I update this so none of my players lose their stuff? .. I haven't looked hard into the TUTs for it. but~

Port 7171 is already in use.
 
Uhm if the npc's are working anyone can post here one?? addoner or blessing? I tested about 20 advanced npcs from this forum and anyone is not working ://
Talaturen im using the ones from this tfs and its not working either. As u can see not only me have this problem.
 
my ot is map rl 100%

aprox 28k of respawn

database with 5.000 aprox acc

the server open> database.s3db-journal online and cause very very lag

what is problem?
(sorry english errors ;x)
 
well I maptracked the map and noone fo the rope places works lol ^^

maybe im talking wrong? but dont think so.
same with others npc like varkhal and other addoners from forum they are not responding

Well not all NPC's are working...
Varkhal the Addon NPC isn't also working :)
 
so how u guys will make something like rl npc addoner? npc blessing? Those npc are rly important, im sure Talaturen can solve it in short time. Can u?:p
 
Okay so we are having this problem. It seems after we updated the server from geisors ~1000 we put in our actions/spells/monsters/weapons/items. Then we replaced the vocations.xml because we had 4 new promotions after the first 4.

Well we started up the server and it stopped at

Loading script system...
Then just errors and closes.

We've attempted adding back in the original vocations and spells but it still errors. GAHHH hellpp
 
on next patch items 8.2 will working? paladin armor didnt give skill discance :(
 
You will have to wait until 0.3 is released for new features, patches will just include bug fixes. It isn't a bug that the armor doesn't give you any skill, it's just something we didn't implent yet and you can do it if you need it on your server.

It's second time I try it. Make sure you have updated the files inside data/npc/lib/npcsystem/.

EDIT: Just found two issues which would print error in console and make Alice ignore you, will be fixed and uploaded soon (no changes to .exe this time, it will just be bless.lua and modules.lua).
 
Patch 3 has been released.
