The Forgotten Server

I'm attempting to run TFS 1.0, though whenever I open it, the cmd appears for a split second and closes without me being able to catch an error or anything. I've linked it to the phpmyadmin database etc through the config.lua. I'm a total rookie so any help would be appreciated.

in cmd type: cd "tfs directory here"
then type: theforgottenserver.exe
it wont close the window when it errors

Thanks, now the error I get is:
'theforgottenserver.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

you didn't do the cd correctly
for example if i had my server on my desktop: cd "C:\Users\Username\Desktop\Server"
then run: theforgottenserver.exe (or whatever you named your executable)
