The Math Game

I go the first year in gymnasium ( don't know the English word thats right..)
I think I had this in like 9th grade but I didn't really pay attention to my lessons then :(

gymnasium? i mean school and what's your age. i don't care where u go lol xD And also don't talk me in "9th 8th etc" shit amerifag grades. In spain we use different tables. So just tell me ur age :)

I'm actually from Sweden.
Just didn't feel like telling the age as it's quite irrelevant..
but as you wish, I'm 18.

what, the, fuck? You're 18 and never did an equation that simple? Wow, how low
*Sight*
Just the response I was waiting for.
Don't talk to me like I was stupid when you don't know why I haven't done that..

of course i don't know it, but 18 years = university = carreer = gz study = gz maths = gz engineering = gz job = gz monthly earnings = gz family = gz house = gz life.

Ok, I'll resume it fast.
I moved to Spain at the age of 5 or 6 and lived there for 5-6 years, while I was there I went to Spanish school.
At the age of 10 or 11 I moved back to Sweden and started the 5th grade, as my Swedish was pretty bad we decided that the best would be to repeat the 5th grade.
I completed 9th grade, which is the last year in the elementary school and was gonna start studying computer science but the plans changed and I went to Spain instead where I stayed for like 7 months until I decided to go back.
When I came back it was too late to get into any studies as it was in the middle of everything.

So, thats the reason why I'm 2 years older than my classmates, it's not because I'm stupid or anything, I might be lazy but I'm not stupid :)

And in Spain you start school 1 year earlier than Sweden, which probably results you seeing me as "dumb" or w/e because of my age..
Also, I've read some statistics that said that like 30%(can't remember exactly but it was around 30) of the teens don't got a job in Spain.

Edit; Now that I think back I think the Spanish school was a lot more "advanced" than the Swedish one, the last grade I went in Spain before I moved back was the 5th, which now I compared with the Swedish one, the Swedish one was like kindergarten compared to the Spanish one.

:O. Then that must proof why im so smart. kk :D nice for being in Spain, i also like sweden ;)
You seem to be smart, well at least judging by your English, all people I've met both on the internet and in Spain have had a pretty bad English.

Let's have fun with math :)
Someone posts a problem(?) and the one that solves it(gives the right answer) can post a new one.

I'll start.

π = 3.14

π*10/(30*2) = ?

i'm best in math class, so lets see it,

3.14x10/(30x2)=
=3.14x10/60=
=31.4/60=
=0.52333333333....

this approximate value is, 0.52 :D :thumbup:

Both Zisly and Epic got this one wrong, so it's still on the table.
(TIP: Don't let Epic tutor you in math - most, if not all of his answers have been wrong so far.)

PHP:
3n^2 + 6n + 3

Solve for n.

Simple quadratic equation:

PHP:
3n^2 + 6n + 3         -- Original problem
3n^2 + 6n + 3 = 0     -- Set equation equal to zero
3(n + 1)^2 = 0        -- Factor equation
3(-1 + 1)^2 = 0       -- Balance the equation
0 = 0 -- Verify that the equation is balanced
n = -1                -- Answer

I'm not sure where this problem came from, but...

PHP:
15n = -3              -- Original problem
n = -3/15             -- Divide by 15
n = -1/5              -- Simplify

---------------------------------------

New problem:

PHP:
42^0

Simple quadratic equation:

PHP:
3n^2 + 6n + 3         -- Original problem

New problem:

PHP:
42^0

Oh yeah, gz, maybe next time say: "Beware! the "3n^2" it's not to the 3, it's to the n!!"

Also 3n^2 +6n +3 = 0, it's a 2nd grade equation, aka -b+-V(-b^2)-4·a·c / 2·a

Sorry but explain ur problems better.

Also. 1.

... There is no trickery in there.

If it were (3n)^2 + 6n + 3 it would have said (3n)^2 + 6n + 3, which would have equaled 9n^2 + 6n + 3, which you would have bitched about as well.

Assuming you somehow thought the real problem was (3n)^2 + 6n + 3,

PHP:
(3n)^2 + 6n + 3          -- Starting problem
9n^2 + 6n + 3            -- Simplified
d/dn(9n^2 + 6n + 3)      -- Take the derivative
18n + 6                  -- Find the value of n
n = -1/3                 -- Answer

Except that wasn't the problem which was posted.

Also, FOAD == Epic?

Someone else's turn to post a math problem (FOAD should have posted one as he answered the last problem.)

Less ego because this is not paper, if so try to do this ezcake:

--> (x-2)/(x*sqrt[(x-1)*(x^2-x+1)]) wat?

Bah nvm u'll never do it.

Enjoy. Tell me in 1 week the answer

PHP:

New problem:

PHP:
42x * 2x = 168

Solve for x.

PHP:
(x - 2) / (x * sqrt[(x - 1) * (x^2 - x + 1)])          -- Original Problem
x = 2                                                  -- Answer

1st of all, it's an Integral. ( dunno if u know what is it ). I'll make an image with MathType from office don't worry. Not as simply as that ;) You'll shit bricks when u see it

problemalimites.jpg

-3*47^(-17*√(482)/1928)*√(30022)*5^(2/3)/(√(12366407087033209398-41*√(1666221)*31^(3/4)*2^(1/4))) -- Exact answer

Sorry but, that asnwer isn't true. U'll never did a limit in ur whole life yet ;)

New problem:

PHP:
42x * 2x = 168

Solve for x.

84x^2 = 168
x^2 = +- V(168/84)

x(1) = +V(2)
x(2) = -V(2)
