Well... Expected result I would say. Looks a bit suspicious though. DB backup is probably the first thing every admin should do on a daily basis...
If it was not clear for the administration then there is no point to play on next edition aswell. Most probably its just lame reason for the reset (no idea why they haven't said - reset - full stop).

I would suggest just opening up the server with higher rates.
