Well.. Looks like we picked the wrong person now haven't we? Lets check a timeline on how Barak Obama has pretty much made himself a dictator. It only took him a few months too.

August 1st 2011 - Barak Obama gets the Congress that they do not matter again, and then makes a 'Super Congress' that has the officials HE chose.
August 2nd 2011 (SAME DAY HITLER BECAME FUHER.) - Our lovely president is supposedly taking full power over the 'Super Congress'
Future - 2 New bills state that the people have no power over the decisions of what he makes. // Bailout Raises to over $100T , he talks about $12T..

Except that Wikipedia has listed the United States as a "Federal Presidential Constitutional Republic" at least since 2008 (with the addition of "presidential" sometime in 2008-2009). Feel free to browse the history yourself.

You don't really seem to understand the term "republic" in any case. A republic is a democracy.
