The Witcher - project
Later, they said that this man came from the north, from the Smith gate. He walked on foot and he led the horse which was carrying his baggage. It was late afternoon and smiths and craftsmen stalls were already closed, and on the street weren't any people. It was warm, and the man was wearing a black coat thrown over his shoulders. He paid attention. He stopped before the inn called "Old Narakort" and stood a moment, listen bustle of the voices. Inn, as usual at this time, was full of people. The stranger didn't enter to the "Old Narakort". He pulled the horse away, down the street. There was another inn, called "At the Fox.". It was empty. The inn didn't have the best fame.
This is a fragment of "The Witcher", which is the greatest fantasy book written by a polish writer - Andrzej Sapkowski. With that words, Geralt - witcher from Rivia - entered to the history, being one of the most expressive hero of literature of last years. "The Witcher" is story about man, who was trained from the youngest years, to fight with evil, which is on the world. To fight with nasty monster and creatures, but not for free. Actually, it was his job. He was walking from city to city and searching offerts from people. The orders were verry different - from ghouls to water demons and other creatures. Unfortunately, has come tough time for witchers. Time of sword and axe. Time of contempt.
I would like to create a server that will based on the story of Geralt.
Some informations about storyline, map and the rest:
1. Storyline
Everyone will be witcher, without exceptions. However, you'll be able to choose a direction in which you would like to train your skills as witcher:
- - archery (equivalent to paladin)
- - herbalism, and witchcraft (the equivalent of a druid)
- - potions and runes (equivalent to a sorcerer)
- - fight with melee weapons, fist fighting and using the tools (the equivalent of a knight)
For example, if you choose the way of herbalism and witchcrafts, you'll be able to use witcher signs, like Igni*
Igni * - that sign creates a fire in the form of a short cone or a small bundle of flames. That's the mark of one of elementals - fire.
2. Map
I want to create map from nothing, but I think that it won't be a looot of work. I don't need the whole world, because it's very big (click if you want to see the full map). I thought about most important towns from Temeria, Vizima of course, Kaer Morhen, and others locations that you can't see on this map.
3. Sprites
The Witcher - project will need a loot of new items, but also a lot of new monsters. Without that it won't be good server.
However, to create a server I need team. I want a lot of your applications, because without it OTS won't move from the place!
Will be needed:
- mappers (!)
- scripters
- webdesigner
- spriters (!)
- c++
- writer/ someone who will help me to create new stories
- graphics
