I don't see the big issue, in Norway Otto Jespersen burned the bible on national TV, and noone seemed to cry about it.

The americans won't care what muslims think because the burning of a book is not illigal (and obiously the burning of embassies is not a problem in many muslim countries). I probable will be hated (posting this post is a sure way to get hated), but well, start get more tollerant. Just like kids does whatever makes people angry at them (just for fun), people will do whatever pisses of people who get mad. Whatever thats jews, muslims, politicans or celebretis.

In Norway flag burning is also illigal. And we burned american flags just for the fun of it, but the americans didn't care much. So we stopped (again, if a kid try to piss someone off, and it don't work, he will stop).

Actually, burning koran (or text from the koran) is the proper way for a muslim to dispose of the book, if for any reason they can't keep it.
So, they aren't actually doing anything, except bringing in more money for muslims by buying their books and later disposing them in a proper muslim way

For muslims, I think the quran is a little more holy. You have to be extremely careful, and you are not allowed to put it anywhere. You must also clean your hands before you can pick one up.
