Since the thread was closed, I could not comment, so I will here.

It really is a shame, really really is a shame, these are very rare opportunities for OpenTibia developers to be offered money to do work.
It really is a shame when no one decided to take up on it, yes, I am ashamed of myself too. However, I believed I am not an expert and certain fields, that is why I did not apply.
It is not like the old days where you actually have to learn the real developments of OpenTibia to run a server, where today it's just all about download and run.
So, no one is really passing on the idea of developing a server, these people have died away and the new people just wreak havoc. (if you were on OTFans, you know what I am talking about)

So, TibiaWR, I understand what you're going through, dealing with money is a very stressful thing, especially in a business-like manner on the internet.
You should still try to get some progress done for free of charge while you're making money elsewhere. I hate to say this, but I can't wait until Spring 2012 when you are back in business.

TibiaWR is a total joke. It's an overambitious project led by someone who has no clue what they're doing (as evident from his visits to OTLand IRC) and the amount of circlejerk in their topic is incredible. Apparently the winning recipe for a successful hype thread is the following:

* Use a different font
* Try to sound as professional as possible (yet fail terribly at spelling and grammar and come off as incredibly pretentious)
* Rip off all your graphics and resources from Cipsoft
* Use multiple accounts to post to your own thread

Success! 50 million applications (shamefully enough including mine) and inevitable failure months later. I hope that the people who already worked for them actually got compensated.

Got to agree with NAAPV, when i started out hosting i only wasted 60euro and everything else just went with time.
I'm surprised that you wasted such amount of money, don't know what you were thinking when you wanted everything same as rl.

Seems like you paid for everything to be done for you.
