Hey otlanders,
As peroxide once started a thread about remaking tibia map in minecraft, but letting it die, i decided to bring this up again :) my plan is tofind people whi are willing to me remapping the entire global tibia map which first will be main island and rookard ;) later on we can add other islands... Anyway whenever this is done or ready for the beta, i would add some adventure mods and make this accessable to everyone to play on. Right now I would just rent a 4 slot mc server and start working on the map with anyone who wants to help!

FIRST PROBLEM OR QUESTION:
For sure we can remake all cities, but should we remake the map, too? we cant set where monsters spawn and where not, so we could still map the whole tibia map, but cant decide which monsters spawn at thais ratscave.. jsut for example... there could be zombies or skeletons where acctually should be rats...

SO MY QUESTION IS:
should we still remake the whole entire map or just the cities and fix the roads between them but dont edit the landscape around (leaving it how it is and dont add desert, or plains of havoc...).
IF we remake the whole entire map, then we dont have any influence on where which monsters spawn ;/
still we can remake the map and there will spawn random monsters :D

so i think we can now recreate the full entire map (main land and rook!).
and add monsters with ur mod later :D
only prob will be that monsters will still spawn randomly eh?

I could try to do some mods to fit in more items/blocks...
Trying to make walls a bit thinner XD..

i cant open minecraft.jar

How to Install Spawner GUI for Minecraft 1.3.1
Download ModLoader
Download the spawner GUI mod
Open .minecraft / bin
Open Minecraft.jar
Delete the META INF folder to prevent black screen
Drag the mod loader files in
And all the mod files apart from the GUI files
Drag the gui files into the GUI folder
Close the windows, play Minecraft and enjoy

Has this anything to do with mcpatcher? cause i use this for tibian texture pack ;D

Just change ur gamemode to creative /gamemode [player name] 1******1 is the gamemode, 0 survival 1 is creative. Go grab spawn eggs. No mods required

I started on a minecraft rook map a month ago, but only worked on it for a short time. Good Luck, i'm looking forward to it.

Ima send Anyone whos interested the ip of the server and ask himfor his minecraft name since its Whitelisted ;) then you gotta use the texture pack i posted on page before and them just start working on rook or thais, just make a sign... And well yeah the first thing which is there will be continued by the others :)

I started temple thais a few months ago. I took 1tibian sqr and builded 3 minecraft sqr for it. Thats way it became a bit the same but it took ages to map (didn't had creative mode on). Also a big problem of mine was the light, its hard to bring light to such a huge building and still want it to look like a tibian building.
