Tibia Server Hardware (RAM) Question

Does anybody know how much RAM does a Tibia Server would need?

My personal experience:

Small community server with 40-60 players online
20 MB custom map
Running on a Debian Linux VPS
The server itself takes about 800 MB of ram on start up and holds it. Very, very little fluctuation.
The other system services, web server & database etc take up another ~300 MB.

The minimum amount of RAM I would allow is 2 GB.
Note that you will not be able to compile without a make file with this little RAM. (unsure, correct me if I am wrong in saying this)

Thanks a lot for this information, I've checked some servers websites, and on their Server Info page, they had those massive amounts of memory, like one of them had 32GB of RAM, but I'm guessing that's when you host multiple servers or something like that.

that's for owners that like to showoff but are hardly using 30% of it

Glad to hear that, I'm trying to put up a small server for myself, gonna try starting off from something small.
