You are probably doing it wrong, I checked Fusion's code from before the repo was taken down and the bug was there.

I didn't mention, but apart from the most obvious ways to abuse this bug, you can also do some funny things with it, like for example looking inside someone's depo or main backpack (with them being completely unaware). You can also put items inside a locker on the map. When you step away from a locker, your depot is saved and the locker becomes just a container - you can then put items in it and they will show up to the first character that opens this particular locker (and none other).
