Long time ago in a galaxy far away I was working on a cool project TNT - The Neverending Tale.
Like in case of most 'ambitious' rpg servers after few years of working on it in the free time the team went separate ways and we have abandoned it. Lately I've found the files and thought to myself it's a big shame it's going to be wasted so here's a thing:
If I can find a person who's good at scripting and have some experience on managing an OTS I can share some huge amount of work. Including: a custom map almost the size of real tibia (but rly well done, check the screens); over 100 npcs with at least 20 dialogues each with many rpg story like quests, alignment system, custom vocations with new spells; balancing excel files; over 1000 new items most with new sprites; new custom monsters (new looktypes created for tnt); and many more.
Firstly I will open the beta server with just a small part of the map. I'll be redoing some npc's, deal with quests, looting, shops, enemies in the meantime. It's 80% done but there's still a lot of time to put into it. I think I'll delete most of the unfinished content and just focus on what's mostly done. Keep it simple and start small! Then update the server with some features if it goes well. If someone can back me up with current ots knowledge, scripting and bug removing we can host a creative server people are waiting for ^^
TFS 8.54 (Crying Damson) - But I'm thinking about going for 1.2

Here's a little peek into what you may except:
# An interesting story with main quest line
# 100+ npcs with at least 20 dialogue lines each (only for players who actually want to talk)
# Rebalanced monsters (now a huge Cyclops is very hard to defeat, and a little lizard is quite weak etc.)
# Character sheet, personality (good/neutral/evil), fame, titles
# An advanced diary, lots of quests with different outcomes
# Over a thousand items, most of them new (with new sprites) (we're going to start with 1/5 of them)
# Everything considered 'ugly' changed or redone
# Lots of outfits, monsters, effects
# Three classes divided into nine different subclasses (not very complicated!)
# An original, extremely detailed and huge map
# PvP arenas
# Jobs (Smith, Scholar, Bard)
There was an alchemy system, ore mining system, herbalism, blacksmithing, climbing with rope, even client changes for recreating training system into a more classic rpg with strength, dexterity etc. but all that is not finished so I think we'll have to forget about those 'features' and focus on just the advanced map with new content and quests.
Something I'm sure others servers like this didn't have was balance. We had a person who did a marvelous job on creating a database for TNT. Check this out and don't freak out:
