I bet you've seen me around (a lot), so I'll tell you a bit about my project which I've kept under somewhat of an invisible cloak.
Map.
The map I am going to use, isn't fairly large. I still got a couple of "lands". I'm thinking of using the newest client for this server.
Hopefully I'll get to use the newest items and sprites, so it would be a kick ass server. I haven't really thought of much
But I'm thinking about it a lot lately, and I decided to actually reveal it to the open-tibia community. I'm creating a map showoff when I get back from my "holiday".
I am taking ideas for what I should update with etc.
Experience/skill rates.
The idea at the moment, is actually that experience should be low. So I would give more experience from quests which leads through the whole map.
This is still an idea. If you guys don't like that idea, it WILL be really low experience rate, it will be stages. (10->1 or 20->2)
The meaning of the "exp by quests" is to actually get the players to see the map. It will as well put some team-spirit in to the server. So they'll meet normal monsters which will not give experience, and they'll meet the boss which gives a certain amount of experience, and the quest-giver will give you the experience.
Donations.
NONE. I don't want to give the players that give me money advantage. If they will give me money, I'll give it to some charity to research against diabetes. They will get honor, glory, and a great gratitude from me and the researcher team. I am not joking about this, I feel they need more money than I do.
As well, the players that donates will get their name put up on a website in the category "Page of fame". (Hall of fame to me is bleh, since it isn't a hall, it's a page.) This is to show that not every project isn't about money and willing to give money to charity, if it receives any income at all.
Systems.
I will not have trainers, CTF, bomberman nor any other of these events. If you want fun, you'll have to do quests! Occasionally I'll host a deathmatch between the guilds. The ones that has the highest frags, wins something, anything under my validation. (If you have any system or something the players would appreciate, please tell me
)
Name.
If someone has a cool name that they came up with while reading this, please post it as a suggestion and I'll make a poll about it!
Ideas.

THIS WILL ONLY BE IN THE SERVER IF I CAN GET IT TO WORK!
Mining:
That you have the profession miner, you'll obtain rock, metal and gold bars which you can sell for a nifty price.
Farming:
That you will be able to buy a farm, and grow vegetables or have animals as pigs or chickens.
Potion brewer:
This profession is imho a cool profession. You are kind of a "illegal" brewer, and if you're caught by the guards they'll give you a fee. So you have to get low-key about it. Sometimes you might have brewed a bad potion which doesn't work as a good potion. (e.g. it heals less than 50HP when it should've healed over 90HP.) Risky business.
Please give me feedback, and I'll gladly answer/accept it.
