Windows UniServer Website problems. D:

I'll say this straight out - I am a noob at websites.

With that out of the way,

I followed zNotes from nothing to a fully working server and the website tut at the end, at the moment I have a fully working server and a website.. rather plain website.. currently with the forgotten server map and blah blah.

My problem is that I have port forwarded port 80 but when I use a port checker it comes up with - connection timed out. which basically says to me that the port is currently in use - which makes sense as uni server is currently hosting the website.

Also if using my global IP it just connection times out as well.

However I don't understand how other people can connect to the website?

I guess I need to get my website up and running before I even get into my problem with the account manager being within the client, and not on the website.. :/

Anyways Any help would be appreciated. Might not reply for quite awhile as I'm heading off to work, but if there is any pro's around and want to get in touch with me give me a pm or just reply here or just send me off to random TuT's.. they seem hard to find for more specific stuff.

too bad Znotes tut for the website just kind of leaves you blank, especially for the noobies, (follows tut, ok.. now what? xD)

Random stuff to mention..

- The Forgotten Server 8.54 (found within Tut) - there were 2 files one that said GUI and one that said something else.. the GUI was 0.1 bigger so I downloaded that one :P

- Uni Server as apposed to Apache/Xaamp < dunno the spelling

- Modern AAC for website

Me and my friend are creating an OT - we last made one for 8.1 which never had a website or uniserver/apache/xxamp needed or required.

Make sure you allow the port through your firewall. And also, when connection times out, that means that when your port checker tries to check the port, there is nothing on the other side listening. I had that problem with ports 7171 and 7172. If the server wasn't running, the port checker would say connection timed out. make sure you did your port forwarding right and make sure you set up a static ip on your host server with all the ports being forwarded to that ip.
