Hello, I'm brand new to the OT world.
So, I've been able to run older TFS versions before, but I can't get 1.1 to work. As soon as I startup the server it immediately disappears. All I've done is created a database and put that info into config.lua. What am I missing? The server still disappears the second after I run it...
Thanks!

Well, you could try snapping a screenshot at the same time it opens. The most common cause of this as far as I've found is a misconfiguration of the database.

No text comes up at all. Literally just an all white box there for .2 seconds then nothing.

1: open cmd as admin
2: use cd to navigate to the folder where .exe starter is
3: just type theforgottenserver.exe and enter

and it will show you the startup error without close the window. Note, obv. theforgottenserver.exe could be named different, just change it if so.

Thanks man I had no idea how to work with this until now! Lol.
It says....
[Error - CongfigManager::load] cannot open config.lua: No such file or directory
> ERROR: Unable to load config.lua!
>> No services running. The server is NOT online.

Do you have a config.lua in same directory as the .exe starter?
