I have a question you can have a 8.6 server to a version where you are the most update like 8.70 o 9 or 10

Yes its possible to update or downgrade a server to a certain version.

You need to edit alot of stuff in the sources to make it compitable with the client version you want.
Example; Packets for login/characterlist and new functions and stuff like that.

I have no knowledge in what to edit for an exact version.
The easiest way would just be to change server to an already existsing in the client version you're aiming for.
