Upgrading to 64 bit OS.

Hello, so these recent days.. I've wanted to convert to 64 bit since 32 bit does lack things such as memory.. but I'm not sure if I should get a new PC, or convert my current one..

In your case it doesn't matter, 32 bits supports up to 4 GB of RAM, since you only have 3 GB then you have nothing to worry about
And your computer supports 64 bits, it all depends on your Processor(CPU), and it supports: AMD Processors for Desktops: AMD Phenom™, AMD Athlon™ FX, AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core, AMD Athlon™, and AMD Sempron™ Processor

Well king there are quite alot of things that depend on being able to switch to a 64bit OS, you need to see if your hardware is capable at all first off and then you also need to make sure any program that you NEED can be run on a 64bit, best preferences before moving to a 64bit is 2-3GB RAM with (desktop) 1-3GHz (laptop) 1-2GHz just be prepared to make a switch back incase and backup all neccisary files.
