OldTibia High-Rate will be going live soon with new updates!
Date of Launch: June 19th (Friday @ 3PM EST)

Main Differences from the Low-Rate:
  • Protection level is 35 instead of 25.
  • Blessings are 10k each instead of 5k (Total: 50k for all blessings).
  • 5 Kills to RS instead of 3.
  • Amulet of Loss is 50k instead of 35k.

So today you may have noticed we have reset the server and started a countdown to a new era.

There are many reasons for this, we are going to be pushing a lot of new updates over the course of the first 2 weeks.

The following list are all the fields we plan to tackle:
-Pits of Inferno Quest (with custom additions)
-New Frag System (completely re-write the entire system off community feedback)
-Guild Wars (with due time, this is something we hope to add)
-Cast System (this is a low priority, but we would definitely love to add this ASAP)
-New Content (including a new city, 3 major new quests, 7 side quests)

Information on the updates:
  • The new content will be following a story line based from the real tibia story, I mean there isn't too much of a story in tibia but we are going to create one based off the real tibia content. So this may include King Tibianus and the Queen, as well other third-parties like the Postman Society or The Thieves Guild.
  • The Pits of Inferno Quest may be altered slightly in the form of customizations to the original seals, as well edited or completely new bosses. (Juggernaut, Hand of Cursed Fate, etc.)
  • The frag system will be based off an hourly timer instead of the current "daily" system. Also, we will be changing the amount of players that get an unjustified kill to only the most damage and last hit. Currently anyone who participates will receive the frag.
  • Guild Wars will have the options to set the amount of frags as well a wager/bet that you can use to set an amount of money the other teams guild leader has to have in the bank in order to participate in the war.

Will you increase the task reward XP, as it is set now there would be no need for task (its still set on low-rate server bonus)?

Increase task kill amount for some creatures, 75 minotaurs???? with so low amount the tasks will be all done in few days. the rewards are trash too, 600k exp for demons lol
75 Mummies 25,000xp 10,000gp Ancient Shield
100 Black Knight s50,000xp 30,000gp Crown Armor & Legs
100bk is 10 times harder and takes 50 times more time to do yet u only get two times the xp

this just seems gimmicky and like some br orsha ot, imo set it to default and increase the DAMAGE by 40% and skill rate to 10x

You can buy up to five blessings using the talk actions listed above. With all five blessings you will never lose any experience or items.

what is the point of amulet of loss then? a waste of money

Does pal and knight have increase dmg? This version is totally needed.
One i liked was like, 10% dmg increase and 20% attack speed.

Will be nice to not have another sorcerer server.

Agree and after playing Tibianus and Classicus this is just broken.

Change Log:
-Magic rate is now 4, with Skills set to 8x.
-Knights Defense is increased by 10% (Tank Role)
-Paladins Attack is increased by 10% (Attack/Support)
-Monsters can no longer be trapped like in the last era.
-Tasks will be re-edited to match the high-rate experience rate.
-Blessings have been made slightly more expensive.

Q: Why do you have the AOL if you have blessings?
A: Well, its a lot cheaper than blessings but it only protects items instead of experience and skills.

Q: The attack speed for knights and paladins is lame, why cant it be increased by DMG % instead?
A: Well to be honest, the way its set now; they have faster attack speed, as well increased damage by 10%.
Knights however, have faster attack speed and raised defense by 10%. I feel this brings a balance to the vocations.

I will do my best to make sure this isn't a "sorcerer server" - I mean personally I'd love to see every vocation being played in wars.

how long to lose frags?

also do you mind increasing the frag limit? highrate means its going to be a war server..
 
Dude, you loose all frag after 24 hours and u gain rs after 5th kill and ban after 8th. It's good already, you can pk a lot
 
So, promoted mages get 2 mana/2s? Can you explain what each vocation/promotion gets with hp and mana per X ticks please? (:
