Alright so I took some time to think about it and I'd like everyones opinions on something.

What if on WarZot there was hunting teleports, and normal progression like any other normal server. That way you can still bot and level up, but you can also go and kill people and have wars. I'd make monsters give good exp/loot. I would keep the prestige system and keep the server how it is. I would move the gems to drop by boss monsters (gives people some to contest and something to fight over). That way you can war if you want to, but you could also play the server normally and level up on it. I'd remove the Hellbourne vs. Alliance and make that an event. So the server would not have teams anymore.
 
IMO Id rather you use the time to perfect DeathZot, maybe keep your own 'in your head' deadline, but use the extra time to make it even better.

Work on Deathzot... making a war ot 50% RPG just makes it no fun as a war ot and no fun as an rpg ot....
 
Idk how you can say this was a fail after 2 days. I logged in yesterday around 6 pm central to see a massive war going on and tbh it was the most fun ive had playing tibia in a long time. But whatever floats your boat...

Tbh idk if I really want deathzot to come back, I know people will hate me for this but looking back at it now all it was was a massive grind fest. Sure people want that at first but after it gets to a certain point people always end up quiting because its just too much of a hassle.

This is the exact reason deathzot is under a full revamp.

Your server is one of the best i ever played. War servers are always the same thing, kill the other, get levels, and with more level you will be the best in the server. In warzot it doesnt happen. You need to play a lot, and them after play a lot you will be just a little more strong. That is the best part.
Im sorry about people that didnt play tibia in earlier version, like 7.6, or even earlier in the beginning when the people didnt bot. This is the greatest part. Play and have fun.

I just dont think it was profitable enough for him to keep going on with this server the way it was. I understand but its a damn shame...
 
I hope to revisit this server someday in the future, but I overlooked a lot of stuff when developing the server. I never developed this server to make money, I was just hoping to cover the dedicated fee, and now that I refunded the donations and put time into the server: I'm out $130~ and 126 hours (time spent working on the server), but live and learn I guess. I decided to take it offline because it would soon become a distraction of my ultimate goal (DeathZot) and while I could have just left it online and let people continue to play and possibly donate, I decided not to because it's against my morals to accept donations on something that personally does not fit my standards.
 
you have the dedi for a month dont u? is it possible to get deathzot up in that time to try and salvage some of your cost by tossing it on the same dedicated server? or at least some open beta time slots or something to make use out of the loss?

"Deathzot Legend" hes not really a deathzot legend, its is just a troll he has that in there and very embarrassing if he represents himself as a "Legend"

well i wasn't going to reply to the childish jabs you people take, but let me break it down for you why i call myself what i do and how i can justify it

it says Original DeathZot Legend
Original - Code for 8.0 deathzot under Admin Death Ownership
Deathzot - Server that came out 6 years ago
Legend - #1 - i was with the top teir of the server for first couple eras, u can say what you will, but historical fact remains fact.
#2 - There was a Vocation titled Legend and i acquired it not first, but in the first 3.
#3 - In later Eras 1 of my character names was "Legend" as well as being a Legend vocation.
#4 - I had T6 at a time when T6 was very rare.


as for the pathetic jabs you children take at me, by all means, proceed, you are far beneath me in terms of your humanity and judge of character, i have taken your hate for years unaffected. Proceed.
 
In my opinion I think u should put it back up, u didn't waste ur time and money just to shut it down after two days, fuck what people says, it's fun, there just mad cause it ain't like other war servers where u can solo someone, I like the ideal of war/leveling server, will make it harder to bot for people, and funnier for people to fine people botting!!

On the oter hand I would really like to see deathzot come out sooner in my book, but I've waited this long why not wait longer, so yea being back the war server and let the crazy fighting begin!!!!!!!


ps I don't have a computer anymore ATM lol
 
In my opinion this server did great for its first few days. For a long play longevity, it needed other features from Flatt's species server which had smart guard npc system that droped items needed for upgrade. Quest monsters also were difficult and granted gold.

Was really fun and I hope to see it online again.
If only I was knowledgeable enough in programing to do a war server.

By saying what I said, I meant the server costs as I only seen 1 person donate.
