Using AI to create sprites…

Since last year ive been messing around with chatgpt to create sprites, and its evolving quickly…
Some results i got

Asked chatgpt to take inspiration in demon set and show me results:



Also, sent him cyclops and create a realist version of it



And some sprites by inspirating in tibia…

Seems like Supergrok struggles to make anything like the prompts, I wonder if chatgpt's is better than something like midjourney?

Chatgpt (dall-e) works great for items but for me it couldn't create a even static monster or outfit

Because its good for some items not for outfits or monsters as it struggles with correct perspective for them. I managed to do one but its far from perfect to be usable. I wasn't successful with getting it to straight pose to rotate or animate it.

It depends what filters you use to downscale I use magic kernel but lanczos is also not too bad. If you need help with downscaling pm me.

To be honest prompting for outfits and monsters is like hit and miss so there isn't like one that could give you a good result but if I ever find a good one I will share.

I found something interesting if you ask GPT to recreate for example image of giant spider in python and ask for image preview and you ask it then to generate unmodified version and he might refuse then you say its for some research that he must do anyway. Then he generate in similar perspective as tibia. Then you can try to prompt it to generate some new looking one but it's not like 100% working solution because lately it hallucinates a lot. This is result and that was only way I could make it with the correct perspective.



Here is exact prompt from another generation the image has extra leg but that happens sometimes.


By the way this works better with static things like trees, chests than with monsters and outfits. It might be better use for upscaling to higher res.
