Linux Using cron to send players online count instead of loginserver which actually sux.

Hi,

as The Forgotten Server Login Server doesn't want to send players online to open tibia server lists, I have spammed to Elf.

Elf said that he is pr0 and he uses cron to get player count from all gameworlds.

How to do that? I have no idea how to get ANYTHING from TFS using terminal, so I am asking you, OTLanders.

Of course friend had asked for this at the donators board, but still (after 3 weeks) there's no response.

Any ideas?

Im not quite sure if I understood you correctly, do you want something like a periodic report of the online players of your server? Or what exactly?

Cause cron is for executing periodic tasks but I didnt understand what you want to do with it and the online count thing.

Hm, login server is not getting players online count. Elf said that if it will, then I will get banishment on otserver list. Instead this, he is using cron for gathering players online from gameworlds. And I don't know how he did that, and he's not responding now.

Actually I am using cron task to parse status from all words and save in a XML file for website cache.

When I've introduced login server to my worlds, I've decided to parse that file instead reading data from servers every time.

Then how to make it? It's dissapointing when it shows 0 players on my server on otserver lists. Damn this ls but still it's much better than in opentibia.
