I was thinking of a system where each house would have a certain amount of monsters to kill before you're able to buy it.
For example:
You see a house. It costs 50,000 gold. It requires a task to be completed before available for purchase.
[Task: Kill 500 Black Knights and 500 Heroes.)
And if you want to buy it, you would walk up as usual and use a !buyhouse command and it will say:
"The task is now being tracked. Please return once it is completed."
Once the task is finished, you return and use !buyhouse again. It will then finally let you buy the home.
You would only be able to track one house at a time. If you want to give up the task, a simple "!stophouse" command would remove the task from the character.
