If everyone kept saying same as you then there will be no longer contributers to the community and the forum may aswell die.
I get his point though, it really kills my motivation tbh when I only see a few old members contributing, it's like there's a certain few who do, as they stop, no one fills it and that kills the community, I don't see a lot of fresh blood contributing. I think it's pretty wrong and unjust to put the blame on the contributors when they quit, be glad they once contributed at least, better than requesting and stating stuff like "everyone needs to contribute, people are greedy" etc. without doing shit yourself (I'm talking general now, not aimed towards anyone specific). The possible argument that the new guys can't script/map/whatever is bullshit really, people learn and get help but then that's it, they got what they need and you wont see anything from them.

I'm trying with the OOD project, I have a few people who are very helpful and willing to contribute, not a lot in the mapping aspect sadly, you'd expect some to at least go ahead and do some small piece and donate. I've contacted I don't know how many mappers, most seem to have ignored my pms, the one's who ignored and claim to want a better place I've lost all respect for.

I fully agree but i started learnin spriting and lua because i struggled to get help for my project in those areas. Which is what the new community will have to do and it will ween out the scum from the broth, per say. Always prepare for the worst, but expect the best. We will eventually pull through. Just let the money grabbers fade. Tbh i have to say it is set by example. Rohan turned ots into a business and now everyone is trying to. Though dont blame it on rohan. If he hadnt, some one else would of. We just have to keep up with all the help we are giving now for a bit longer. Fact is i am learning new stuff and if i am chances are orhers are also. Don't be so quick to give up :>
