Vocations.xml and Stages.xml not working

I have them all edited to my liking, and I changed my characters in the s3db, and it said "vocation not found" for any vocation id. Also, the stages.xml is doing absolutely nothing. I had to edit the exp rates in the config.lua to get 100x, even though I had it set to 100x for lvl 1-100 in the stages.xml. What do I do?
