Hi, I've had a few servers earlier but that was years ago, I need to refresh my mind and im a total noob at this.

I'm trying to download a distribution and put a RL Map inside of it. Client (8.60) It all gives me a bunch of errors and never works, some of the servers just shuts down randomly when booting. How do I do this? ...

I tried to download a dist like these I found on Otland: http://otland.net/f18/8-60-otx-server-version-2-1-a-155928/ or http://otland.net/f18/8-60-forgotten-server-0-3-6-crying-damson-v5-147913/

When I download a RL map like: http://otland.net/f464/emporia-8-6x-otland-exclusive-3-a-140367/

Do I just drag the "Data" folder and replace it with my current one? I've done this but it just gives me errors.

Yes I do have a database and connected to SQL it all works fine.

The server goes online and works perfectly when I use the regular TFS Map that comes along in the Distribution. As soon I change it to the RL map it fucks up.

How do I check map vers, and Dist version? I downloaded this as a data pack.

When you have the map open in RME, go to the Map option and scroll down to properties, there you can see and even change the map version. But on the other issues...you need to download a map and seperate datapack...thats what i had to do. I used J.Dre's map with a data pack i found on here called "real server 8.6" I believe. Its near the end of the datapack section. You also need to consider downloading a full rl monster and npc pack, otherwise all of the missing creatures will show up as errors and most likely debug your server on start up. (Always remember to import any new creatures on your server to RME before trying to run..)

P.s. I say use J.Dre's because i also downloaded a datapack and tried to use the rl map that came with it and it would debug everytime...however that datapack had all the quests i wanted..so i added J.Dre's...and it worked, no debug AND same coordinates.

ALSO: Just as a heads up, there are no very good rl map datapacks, only some decent maps. So if you are thinking of throwing up a rl tibia server...be prepared to face a ton of issues and spend alot of time with it...there are certain issues that you may not be able to get passed. Such as...currently there is no npc system that can run all rl npcs from the rl tibia map. That being said...alot of quests will not function correctly and you would have to make up for it by making custom quests and such (or making all 600+npcs by yourself). Me personally...i say if your going to put that type of time into it. GO CUSTOM. BRING THE OT COMMUNITY BACK TO LIFE :P.

try use this items.otb
items.otb - Speedy Share - upload your files here

I did download this and I replaced it with my current one, When I start the server everything loads untill it shows: Loading map, and it just shuts down after that. No error shown up or anything, just shuts down.

Your computer might not be good enough too run a real map server

Read my PC specs in the thread.

ive been having this same problem, have you found a solution? My take on it is that the map is bugged out.
