What do you look for in an Open Tibia Server?

I am starting to gather up a staff to open up a new Open Tibia Server. I used to have a server a couple years ago until I have been pre-occupied with school and other things, but I finally have the free time for this job again, so I want to take advantage of it. So, I want to ask the community of OTLand, What do YOU look for when you want to play an OpenTibiaServer?

What protocol are you looking for?
What kind of map?
What about the experience rate?
Custom scripts? New vocations?
Custom spells? Custom monsters?

Do you like playing on Real Map servers or should it be a custom map?

Any other information about what you guys enjoy in a server would be very much appreciated. I'm gathering information and starting to work on my server anytime soon with a couple of my associates.

Is that the most used protocol? I've been off tibia for a couple years and I started playing rl tibia and its 9.8 isnt it?

What protocol are you looking for? everything above 8.6
What kind of map? I prefer a big evolutions map, or a fully and big custom map.
What about the experience rate? average. like 50x or so.
Custom scripts? New vocations? No new vocations.

What I love is server custom'd out to the max. Custom items, monsters, spells, map, quests, vocations, scripts, and so on.... I don't understand how people can have fun with the same old monsters and items you've been seeing for years. For me I can't stand it, I would never play real tibia/real map even if I got paid. I personally like it when server have custom clients, but most people are either to lazy, or scared to download because of a virus...As for the exp rate, I like it when its lowish/medium, nothing to high. I don't wanna play a server for like a few days or a week and then there's nothing else to do

20 non staged. It's pretty high exp for custom map so there might be problems with updating map fast enough, so it can be staged but not too slow.

Custom scripts? New vocations?
yes, however if you're adding new vocs they have to be balanced

Custom spells? Custom monsters?

good skill rates and good loot rates
also cheap donation items, not items for 5€ each...
