So dabs of detail, no monsters and a staircase that upon walking down it, you become embedded in a wall? Haha.

Donation items are fine, so long as they are things like giving you access to more outfits and things that offer no actual game-play advantage other than cosmetic.
A story-line for your game is great, so long as it is FOLLOWED through in-game, not merely hinted at and posted on the website.
Well balanced gameplay and advancement rates.
Good community.
Active forums.
Staff that don't correspond with players in-game other than to enforce rules.

I'm so tired of the old boring rl maps...
Personally, i'd love a unique map, original quests, tasks leading to acess to new areas or something like that.
Low to mid exp and the donations like stated above.
I HATE a server that has tons of pricey donations and unless you have them, you go nowhere.

I think a good way to make a fair donation system is you make some items that can't be obtained by normal means and the user would have to "pay" to unlock this quest for his character in which he has available to him until completed if the user completes it he gets an Item that normal player can not get in the game(unless he unlocks the quest for it).

Point of this is to not make "Donation Items" easy to get, they will have to work for it too!

Unique map, (Don't need uberdetailed shit, when I'm running past it within 4 seconds I didn't notice all 100+ details. Actually I spotted walls, blocking items and another player)
Balanced voc's + cool looking spells (std = suck)
I don't care about exp rates, I care about loot rates..
It's fun when you're limited in money.
It's fun if you PK someone or get PKed you'd actually care.

Beside those I like instead of uberdetailed maps (...) or RL maps which are automagic borderized.. Lost me? Cool.
I like a map with an idea. Which is carefully planned, which make me feel the staff put effort in it.
EFFORT != or ~= or IS NOT only detailed mapping.

We've got those great guys giving us the possibility to create superb functions, events, scripts and quests. And most people don't use it.. at all.. next to the basic: switch = remove stone action..

Anyway :P that my opinion..

+overpowered donator items = noob.
+why not a special house as thanks for a donator?
- Noooo, I are pro! "botter", I need tibia bot to heal and train and hunt, I need donator item to own. (6) Donator axe (atk: 30000 def: 123456)
Imagine this guy (level 125) to a newbie, level 35... Bang you're down! WHAHAH NOOB! U FAIL!!

Alright made my point, I guess..

Last but not least.. Training rooms.. KILL THEM!! BURN THEM!! You do effort for the people to make a nice server, make them do effort to. Doing effort = satisfying = fun and people will come back to your server. Really they do.

Hehe yours! :D (L)
