What is an "evolutions" server?

I'm just wondering, what does "evolution" mean? What is such a server? What makes it different from other servers? What is the purpose? Are they fun?

It simply is a very common start for a server, since it has a full map and it's often based on teleports. Usually for more "fun" servers, but it depends on what you think is fun.

its when you have a pokemon server with evolving pokemons then you have a evolutions server




















nah joke its a server based on the evolutions map as you may recognize by the temple and the depot in the east with shops on the north with stairs and such
most of them contains edited temple and such with teleports some also use the evolutions engine but most people use nowdays TFS engine with evo map.
