What is the difference to host? (Linux ~~ Windows)?

Someone can help me? I wanna know what is the difference to host a server on a linux and on a windows...

Linux is the best option to host a server at.
It's like everything your pc needs to just host your pc, while windows has been made more for personal use.
Linux is faster at this way, because it's a smaller 'programme".

If I have a server that i'm hosting in windows can i "transport" it to a linux system. If i do that, that mean (it's a very noob question, probably, but i want to make sure) only linux users can enter the game???

What OS the server is hosted on has no effect on what OS the players need to have on their computer.
If you are hosting a server at a windows box and want to host it on a linux box instead you need to compile it on the linux box which is abit complicated for beginners. You shouldn't try linux unless you got basic knowledge about how it works.

Just to tell you, linux does not use .exe files ^^

and its Case Sensitive.

for example, script="default.lua" wont work if its Default.lua or the other way around ;p

yeh, so get used to making all file names lower case, good practise for when you switch to Linux
