Windows What is the most stable distribution for 8.60 on a windows 7 64-bit system?

I suggest giving 3884 a try with compatibility mode "Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1" or whatever WS 2003 is in the list. Before I switched to linux to get complete 100% stability, I would only experience a crash once every 3 weeks or so. Hope this helps, if anything switch to linux if you want ensured stability. I have never had a single crash in the 3-4 months now that I've been on linux.

I fear switching to linux that i will not know how to use the operating system well enough to get the server running. And are these crashed after they have been running NON stop for that long? Or with daily restarts? I will try what you suggested in the mean time.

@Evil, i tried that one, server wouldn't start, had an error.

@Puncker,
Pretty sure if you scroll through the last comments those compiles have been labelled as useless basically.

@Anarch,
On Windows I can forget to reboot the server for a week and not experience a crash, on linux - I could leave it online 24/7 and most likely never experience down time. You might want to get a new cpu just for hosting if your going to switch to linux debian, my dedicated host uses it and I just use a command prompt from my main computer to turn the server on/off, update things, etc. So make a bare minimum machine and test things on that if you dont want to risk everything on your main computer. Since its a lot harder to game and do other windows based things on linux, although a lot of improvements are being made to make things compatible.
