Actually, it's the "proud of being American" that makes people eat. No matter where you live, turn right at the end of your street, there's a McDonalds right there, parking lot full, then right next door is a Burger King, parking lot full.
Now right across the street, there's a Taco Bell, parking lot full, then right next door is a Wendy's, parking lot full, then next to that is a grocery store, parking lot empty. People just continue to eat whatever they feel like because there are more variety of choices, but here's the kicker, THESE PEOPLE ARE LAZY. All you gotta do is walk out the door of your house, drive one block down (yes, drive, not walk), go up the drive thru and place an order and munch away, but let's not forget, you see on the menu a very juicy size choices of fries and drinks. When it comes to size, people will be like "mmm medium is 69 cents extra, but large is only 99 cents extra, mmm, 30 cents? who the fuck cares, YEA, I'd like a large with that!" Are they proud to be American? YES, why? because it's SIMPLE, it's YUMMY, and it's SPECTACULAR. But again, all these restaurants are founded in the US and mass marketed in the US more than any other place in the world. So, everywhere we go, there's a McDonalds, a Burger King, a Wendy's, a Taco Bell and so on, there's so many of them that all we have in mind is fast food shit. Most people don't know the downside health affects behind it, they just don't give a shit. That's why most of the smarter people are leaner and more fit. So, in conclusion, yes we are fat, and yes there are reasons for that, but you should not generalize the entire US population and consider them ALL fat. There are fat people everywhere on the fucking planet.
