Both are good on their ways :) Therefor use hackintosh or whatever its called. xDD
 
Doesn't matter. MAC is no longer powerPC. They are the same platfom now (x86 / PC). :)

Mac with Linux is best, but it most 5k more for the same HW as you get from etc Asus and Acer.
 
Acer sux. If you don't need to play all games, go for Mac !
Mac OS is *UNIX (so it's like 'with linux'). But you can install Win(d/bl)ows aswell.
 
Idk I have a pc, I've used MAC before a few years ago but it has probably changed since then. Idk maybe I'm not used to MAC and that's why I like PC better.

...and thus there is absolutely no difference in hardware and neither is any better or worse for Linux or number crunching of any kind.

If you want an overpriced fruit computer with a nice OS, buy a Mac. If you want the OS, go Hackintosh. If you need Windows games and apps, install Windows because there's nothing wrong with it either.
