Why do old-school servers still have rookgaard?

7.4 servers or so almost always have it. I know that some people like being rookstayers and all, but I wish it was optional.
Rookgaard is extremely dull and repetitive. I don't wanna spend a couple of hours playing there until I can properly enjoy the game.

Because old school servers are mostly long term oriented, if we skip rookgaard we are giving power abusers an option to put makers in mainland to spam rune making or to pk with ease.

Rookgaard is there to ease this from happening.

My favorite part of 7.4 is the Rookgaard journey, it has a start and an end its fun completing the quests etc, even if I don't stay there I like going through it. Its part of the 7.4 core. Also it is a safe non-pvp time you have to get some initial cash and basic set, its a good progression before you jump into the real thing

rookgaard is a dominance hierarchy that caters to a different type of gamer, i wouldn't ever remove it or allow it to be skipped for that reason alone
