Wich linux is better for host OTServers? wich is the minimal specification for run?

Hello otlanders! today i ask myself wich is the better linux distro to host a otserver, some distro are very eyecandy and need more resoucers (not than windows) to run while other distros are minimal graphics and get better performance with more dificult to configure or use, that is why we ask according to users experience what would be the best Linux distro for host. plus the more easy , and another question... wich is the minimal cpu specifications to run an otserver?

Any debianlike without de would be fine probably. If you REALLY need de then debian@lxde should be fine

Anyone can tell me what the difference in the performance between Debin and Ubunto?

if you use minimal w/o gui then its minimal
If you take gui then ubuntus default unity is probably heaviest one
