I have both a Linux and Windows VPS and cannot get either of them to work correctly, with windows i cant get my ports to open and the company its with says thats its just something to do with the software (windows 2012 database) so i tried 2008 database apache then wont load. I have also a linux VPS but got stuck on it also with phpmyadmin (shown in photo) Im willing to paypal someone to fix one of these for me (prefer windows since once its fixed i can actually work with it), im open for help.. i have done created 4 VPS now and nothing will work right for me.. ive followed 3 guides and googled for 24+ hours, im just exhausted with it. I can map/script/etc all day but the hosting is just really burning me down right now.

Im gonna go watch a movie and relieve my mnind of this for now, ill hope for PMs or Responses here when im home :/

You dont need to forward ports on a dedi/vps, all you must do is add firewall rules to allow traffic over those ports.

and wtf is windows 2008 database?

I could surely help you, got a Debian running with nginx, phpmyadmin and an OT server right now. Everything is working perfectly so if you still need help pm me!

I would recommend running on linux instead of windows. I was a big time Windows user before but changed to Linux because of the security and stability.

I tried changing the firewall settings I even tried turning the firewall off and I couldn't get it to work. And the 2008 database is what the vps was showing me as the os, maybe missing words or something I was in a hurry. As far as not having to port forward them that's what I thought, but after making new rules on my firewall and eventually turning the firewall off I thought maybe I had to. Could you explain more if there is another form of rules? I was changing in administration tools etc

Will do.

Bump.. Im getting to the acc manager but no farther. so im assuming its allowing 7171 and not 7172 dafuq v.v..

Ray L.: Unfortunately, there is not much else we can do as it is not covered in our scope of support. If you have disabled the firewall and tried changing the firewall settings, the only thing I can think of is that the program is not listening on those ports.
