Windows Xampp Loading time.

For some reason Xampp takes super long to load my web page. Not sure if it's my net or if Xampp is just slow. I know with uniserver it was not this slow. So I'm going to assume it is Xampp. Any way to speed it up?

P.S: I switched to xampp because uniserver was giving me a ass load of problems :s

what's exactly slow? your AAC, phpmyadmin or everything? also your net shouldn't matter if its localhost.

For me every thing is fast but when people connect to the web page (AAC) The tell me the loading time is a tad bit long. And When I was using uniserver I herd no such thing. And I have also been told that xampp is a bit slower so. But there must be away to improve the timing.

Heya Fu~

Well it could be the fact that your web-page is very heavy (ie Big backgrounds etc),
It was atleast for me because i had fairly heavy web-page and what i did is what you could do if that's the case (no harm in trying)
You could host all the large pics at some picture host on the web (photobucket~, imageshack~,)
and then change image url in ur styles.css to the one you just uploaded to web.
By doing it this way you reduce the upload in total and the people download all the heavy work from the picture host.

I belive there are some threads around about this.

Thats actually A really good idea baha repp for just thinking about it like that. Um I'm pretty sure thats not my problem because of the fact that uniserver didnt have this problem.

downloading all components yourself is always better; nginx, mysqld, php(-fpm) and phpmyadmin

What all is it that I need? for hosting a server and a website? And I have herd about this before from lessaire I do believe about compiling xampp my self. Buttt I have no frikin idea how to even begin this -.-

xampp is heavier than Uniform Server, that is a fact. It is loaded with stuff not required for the open tibia community.

Eaccelerator or any other accelerator isnt enabled in xampp by default. At least not when I was using xampp. This alone makes Uniform Server up to double as fast as xampp with loading scripts.

Here is my Uniform Server guide. It also has a troubleshooter case you get into some problems which in most cases will help you out. Remember its very case sensitive to follow the steps properly. Many people fail to follow my guide as I wrote it resulting in getting an error and lots of brain hazzle.

I know how to set it up and the security things. But My problem before is it became un responsive.. And Mysql and apache wouldnt boot up or turn on how ever you wanna put it thats why I switched to xampp but i like uniserver way better :/

That's why I told you to use nginx instead, it's much lighter than apache and performs much faster while under load
