Linux xampp phpmyadmin

I can get to localhost fine with xampp on linux but when I try to go to localhost/phpmyadmin I get this

MySQL said:

#2002 - No such file or directory
The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured)

What did I do wrong?
