Canary Your character list is loading - Login Failed (Client 14.12, Ubuntu 22.04)

Hi everyone,


Winter has arrived and I wanted to play around with ota again. I downloaded the latest canary version and the recommended 14.12 client from the canary github. However, I’ve been struggling for several days now with a login issue I can’t solve.

The problem:​

When I try to log into the game, I first get this message:

“Your character list is loading. Please wait.”

And immediately afterward another window pops up:

“Login Failed. Tibia might currently be down for maintenance.”

What I’ve tried:​

My client is patched, and all the configuration values inside the client look like this:

Possible clue:​

When starting canary on Ubuntu 22.04, the console does NOT show any “loading map” logs, which I find suspicious.
