Necronia - Discussion

I wanted to make it like that but it didn't make sense lore-wise, especially since we had custom sprites made specifically for the event. Don't worry though, if you've contributed to the world quest even a little, you will be counted in for the final prize pool.

That literally does happen when you talk to the NPC. It didn't in the first 2 days, but I added it afterwards 'cuz too many people made that mistake.
I tested it right now in case it's broken, but it seems like it works as intended. I don't know how you've missed this window and the huge wall of blue text in the npc channel.

And Da Vincii is correct, 90% of the equipment there is level 35 or below equipment, aka Bawfuria equipment.

Ahh, I was playing for the first 2 days only and then after some gameplay my character got stuck in testing facility and i quitted. This window didn't exist and i dont think the blue text existed either ^^ I really have no idea why this testing facility even exists tbh i see no use for it only for exploiting what powers you get which can be read on the homepage instead.

Ahh that's understandable :p from what I heard 8 items and 2 beta keys will be given away! Can't wait to see what the prizes will be and hopefully I'll be one of the winners :)

The point of the testing facility was and or is to test the vocations and their spells. You can read about them all you want but you can't balance them without actually testing :p It's there so players can play around, try different vocations, see whats overpower and underpowered, maybe even see which one they like and will want to play later on.

Injek here, had alot of fun trying it out, main things i had issues with was the regen system, not that i didnt understand it, but i got to lvl 21 and had all but 3 points put into vitob, and mana grapes were only healing for 9-10 mana, and felt like that was just slow progress. perhaps that balances out end game i dunno. as i played a mage mostly the mage equipment i feel needs buffed, not the end game bawfurian, but the lesser mage gear. as a mage all your power comes from the end tier stuff, makeing you weak till you actually get gear, perhaps give small boosts to the mage stuff, so that you have progressively more damage instead of getting decent dmg only till you reach the current end tiered stuff. cant wait till full release, gona have to figure out what to do till then :D. cya at release!
I agree that mages need a buff. They've gotten nerfed multiple times if not more and for the wrong reason. People were complaining on how much I was hitting but that was because I had very high magic level, as well as the best gear, but the nerfs still came. There was nerfs to the gear which I understand but also to the spell itself which was a mistake. I will agree that mages were at one point OP but now they have been nerfed to much. The only reason I hit so much was because of my magic level(which I spent all day for days training) and equipment. During open beta I had lots of mages message me telling me that mages seem underpowered, asking me how I got to my level with mages being so weak. They decided to make a warrior and loved it because it was way better considering mages hit very little. For a mage it takes you FOREVER to get all those red dusts, and the 2 demonic essences you can't get for a while. For mages, grapes, healing, equipment/regen, and spells were nerfed, some more than once. I've seen lower level knights and even rangers hit more than me. This might be a bit biased considering my main is a mage, but you can't deny that something is wrong with mages when there are multiple people stating such.

@lazyguy27 & @Zasranets , judging by your posts, you will probably like what you read in the latest news post.
Here is the post.

Today marks the 8th day after the launch of Necronia's christmas exclusive open-beta, which means that the time is up. Necronia has been closed and will remain closed until we sort out the data we've accumulated during these 7 days of the beta. Once Necronia reopens, it will be back in its closed beta state, and all progress made on accounts that have existed before 26th of December will be saved. All the other accounts (that were created during the days of open-beta) will be terminated, but not deleted entirely.

In case you manage to get a beta key when Necronia continues as closed-beta, and you have an open-beta account in our database, all you have to do is contact Shiva
xtyUgDg.png
/ Silence
xtyUgDg.png
and we will sort out the transfer of your open-beta account to the closed-beta. Same goes for those who created an account using a beta key on 26th December or later.

Thanks to you guys, we have collected valuable feedback and suggestions as well as tons of bug reports that we will be fixing over the period of the next 2-3 weeks. The server has proven to be stable, but not perfectly stable, as we've experienced several crashes during the 7 days period. We will also be working on that.

Some notable changes related to players' suggestions that you can expect in following game updates are:

NaBndcZ.png
The particle items will receive a rework so that they are easier to use.

NaBndcZ.png
The food/consumption system and the UI related to it will be reworked for easier comprehension, and a tutorial related to it will be added. All food will last longer (From 30s default to 45).
The vitamin Lupol will be made more effective.
(Current: 1 pt = +1 sec duration of food)
(New: 1 pt = +3 sec duration of food)

NaBndcZ.png
Rangers will receive their own Bawfuria food similar to what mages/warriors already have.

NaBndcZ.png
Rangers will have a weak version of arrows at their disposal during their stay in Bawfuria to make more use of the [Bow].

NaBndcZ.png
Mages will receive a slight rebalance. (Not necessarily a nerf nor a buff, just some stuff regarding their damage output and gear will be altered)

NaBndcZ.png
The "spell list" menu will effectively replace the current (placeholder) spellbook, offering a much better preview of each spell's parameters, description and even a visual icon.

NaBndcZ.png
The "APO panel" and the "Relic Bag" slots will receive a slight visual update, as well as an update to the entire Inventory window which will make it a bit less flashy and easier to understand. The tooltips will be updated, and extra pointers will be added to avoid confusing with the APO panel.
And more...
jRRFL2V.png
Bear in mind these are just some of the changes, we will of course do a lot more, and make sure that all the bugs that have been reported are fixed, and the gameplay is smoother and a easier for a generic player, the next time the server is out.

What else to expect?

Well, besides these changes, we are scheduled to have all of the missing classes released and brought to a final testing phase during January. We also have a huge upgrade for our website in the works. The new website will have various graphical improvements, bug-fixes, new features as well as improvements for the old ones, and will feature a huge library of information related to the game's systems, features and miscellaneous necessary knowledge.

In February, a lot of the missing and "in need of rework" parts of the mainland should be finished, so that we can proceed with its testing during February and March. We will also have a new trailer for Necronia, and possibly a workshop where you will be able to submit your own art such as game sprites or custom made client UI skins to us.

But okay, enough of chatter. We know you're here to hear about the world quest and its rewards. Your chances of winning a prize depend on your contribution to the world quest, and the contribution of
RNGesus to your luck. Simply put, the more you contributed, the higher the chance is to receive a prize.

In the world quest, [The Dawn of Joy], players of Necronia had to help Santa Claus retrieve the stolen presents and re-decorate his Christmas Tree in order to get his Reindeer to fly again.
The more the tree was decorated, the better the prizes would be - Santa said. 2 item prizes and 1 beta key were unlocked for every new stage of decoration that the players reached.
By the end of the event, stage 4 has been reached, meaning that 8 items and 4 beta keys are obtainable from the prize pool in total. The winners will be drawn and announced at the time when Neronia's closed-beta is launched again, which could be anywhere from 24-72 hours.

uRfiSL6.png

The list of all prizes (which will be chosen randomly) can be seen here.
The list features the same prizes that the winners from our last year's christmas event could have won, and have won.

We have thoroughly enjoyed your presence on Necronia and stalking all of you while you dealt with various tasks, solved quests and fought the creatures lurking around Bawfuria <giggles>. We hope that, despite various bugs and inconveniences, you managed to have fun and draw the best of what we had to offer you during your stay on this short open-beta.

Make sure to register on our forum to connect with the community and discuss, contribute with suggestions, and post your opinions - and if you did/didn't enjoy playing Necronia, please post your thoughts and/or a short review. We would appreciate it.

And as always,

We're working on the database right now, unfortunately, Tarjei was too busy earlier so we couldn't get it done as fast as I hoped we would. Anyway, things are getting resolved, we'll post about it very soon.

Everything is going great, albeit some time delays are here and there, progress has been fine as you can see, and closed-beta is about to be online again.

Ill try to keep an eye off. I work week on and week off now so I get some free time again lol. Playing ascalon at the moment.

Like he promised he would, Santa Claus finally delivered his presents to those who joined the world quest [A Dawn of Joy] and helped him deal with many troubles he faced on the world of Necronia.
Although with a little bit of delay, the presents have arrived safely. Santa sends his apologies, and asks for your understanding, as his deer did not have a chance for a proper recovery.

Here is a list of all players who won a reward from the event:

Won a christmas surprise item code:
Orcadan, Shaco, Da Vincii, Elijah, Perrr, Veraan The Spearman, Saarth The Defender, Spejson, Bidzej.

Won a beta key:

Raxxter, Yasuo aka Destruckto, Acnologia, Salemik.

Christmas-gifts.png

If you see your name on this list, check the e-mail your account is registered to, we'll send your gift code over there.
(Note: It could arrive into the Spam/Junk folder, make sure to check that too)

Furthermore, for anyone who gets their hands on a beta key and wants to redeem their account from the open-beta, all you have to do is message someone from our support team providing your account name, and your beta key, and we will unlock your account so you can use it again.
(You can contact us via our website form here /
our forum / OTLand / Facebook)

The closed-beta will continue as planned and your characters will be able to resume gameplay from where they left off before the server went down.

Stay tuned for more news and upcoming updates in the following few days, this is all that we have to announce for now.
The server will go online at 2 AM (GMT+1) approximately.

See you there Necronians!

God bless you RNGesus.
Hope you guys release main soon :D
By the way, do I read 9 names on the winner list for items? Pretty sure only 8 were meant to be given out? :p

Looks really good so happy to see other projects than ripoff RL maps or high exp revamped evolution maps!

Good luck!

In the wake of all the feedback and criticism we've received during the days of the open beta, we decided that it's time for us to rework our UI into a smoother, cleaner and more RPG-ish (instead of spaceship-ish) one.
During the following few days, we'll be working on the new UI to give it a nicer look and make it easier to use and understand. This includes a new look for the APO panel icon, new Extra Player Skills window, login screen, display of the vitamin system, etc.
For now, you can take a look at the new login screen to get a feel of how the new UI is going to be:

Stay tuned for more updates!
