So, Cip has announced a new vocational system in which it looks like sorcs are going to go back to being OP while everyone else sucks.

Knights
Druids
Sorcs
Pallies

I think it's something that should have been done awhile ago
 
everything is "okay", I'm just unsure if I like or dislike the SD being sorcerer only :/

But the thing is that they're nerfing everyone except sorcs who could probably just run around killing people with e-rings and sds.
 
Knight:
Basic definition (general description, abilities and skills):
  • weak offence
  • strong defence
  • light healing (only self-healing)
  • cannot use runes
  • no elemental damage (except enchanted weapons)
Paladin:
Basic definition (general description, abilities and skills):
  • average offence
  • only vocation which can use holy magic
  • light self-healing and light healing of others
  • can use some runes (not as many as druid and sorcerer)
  • mixture of single and area attacks
  • tank (not as good as a knight)
Sorcerer:
Basic definition (general description, abilities and skills):
  • strong offence
  • Weak defence
  • light healing (only self-healing)
  • only vocation which can create and use sudden death runes
  • more death attack spells (death wave, death beam, strong death strike)
Druid:
Basic definition (general description, abilities and skills):
  • weak offence
  • strongest healing and ability to heal other players
  • damage over time spells
  • can heal debuffs
  • only vocation with summons
This definitely should have been done ages ago.
 
the only thing that came to my mind is that only sorcerers will receive the best loot from boss kills (that chest loot thing) now :/ since druids and pallys will not be able to use sd anymore

If that turns out to be the only issue then they can easily patch that and make the loot system consider the vocation and multiply the damage by a factor depending on that.

I really like the new idea, you cannot judge too much yet as you do not know how the new spells are going to be or the summon system, but I really like the idea of druids using summons.
 
Dislike paladins, the rest is only for the better.
 
Cipsoft is still taking ideas they find from Open-Tibia and applying them in their own way to Tibia, that is all.... The problem is that they are never gonna have it right, they did before and now that game is just too far off base...
 
Going by just the basic definition, yeah sorcerer even says it is better, simply because they have two vocations with weak offense, one with average, and then sorcerer has best. That doesn't make it the best vocation, however in a fight it makes it sound like they would own for pvp, but that's just the basic vocation. If you can't afford the premium for the promotion then sorry about your luck, but the promotion choices are where it is now an improvement. Players now can choose whether they would like to improve on their vocations strengths or its weaknesses. Not all of the vocations, granted, like the pally's promotions are about whether you want to become deadly with one target, or strong against many targets I would assume the way they have it's options for promotion. Just have to take a look at it for what it is, it's an idea, a concept, they haven't made this at all yet, and can change something about it before anyone even gets to try it out.

Boss loot is already factored by different types of involvement; damage dealt, damage taken, and healing of other players.
Hopefully they'll expand on that when the vocation changes come out.

And yes, I'm definitely excited by the summon system. Hopefully they'll finally travel on all floors. Hopefully they'll give full EXP to the summoner too.
This 2015 year should be incredibly exciting.
 
I'm thinking which Cip are planning something like pet for the new summon system.
I like the new concept of changes and like also the new "promotion", since this was necessary a long time ago already.
