I don't think so. Before Winter Update demonic essence wasn't needed, if would now begin to be needed, it would be stupid move by gamemasters

challenge is first part, after that you chose your master and have to give him 3k essences to get final rank(after joining you can use document to get outfit, after giving 500 ess you can get first addon, after giving next 1,5kess you get shield and you can get second addon, next 1,5k ess are to allow you making documents(in cipbia, dunno what staff want here))
