Hacked servers

I'm soon launching a server of my own, and while making it, I've seen a lot of stolen DBZ, Pokemon, Naruto, etc stolen server. For security matters, I've been wondering how they'd been hacked. Anybody care to enlighten me?

Perhaps they had scripts with sql injection or other exploits

You mean their sprites?
There's actually a program here released by Chojrak that extracts sprites.. So your out of luck.. ;(

Then through weaknesses, like database etc

I know what php injections and weaknesses are. I'm sorry, I was being unclear. More specifically, within the Gesior AAC, are there any known weaknesses?
Is there any knowledge as to how they got hacked? < I know that might seem a little shady to some, but this is wholly for educational purposes.
