^_^ Hey.. i hope that you can still remember me dear otland members .. i'm shady the 17 years old new mapper .. well i've been Training on maps and learning from tutorials and getting more information from my dear friends .. Sir Shutter and Neon also i used some help from other great moderators of this great forum their tutorials were like the Forword push to me .. also i'd like to greatly thank sir shutter about his great encouragement.. and his Truely useful advices .. i wanned also to thank sir Xeros .. well let me start telling you about what happened .. well i started my first map .. i posted it on the forum i had many People laughing at me .. and i had many people encouraging me .. so i started following their great advices and my Real life friend's advices i wanna be a professional mapper because i've some hope of being a mapper for some private server so as to be working and getting paid for my well done work .. so i started this New Map .. 1st i started building it while learning from this site .. and now it's done .. the screen shots are too many because i made a huge map , with only my effort my ideas and my enthusiasm + the great encouragements from my friends especially [Sir Neon & Sir Shutter] i hope that this map and that way of mapping proves how good am i .. and how well i've improved and i wanna know if my effort is good and if it's good for anyone's server .. well please rate it and give me more advices, thanks for reading and i hope you like it Note:- The First Map i posted .. was Made by Simone's Editor .. <borders were made manually> <at the first time Mapping>

If you asked people to rate it, you should be prepared to face bad and nice comments.

What can I say about this piece of map?

Try to work more, give detail to it.
It's not the best, but neither the worst.

errr make the island not square, and make the mountain walkable plx ?

Turn of the shade, use less trees and more nature like bushes but don't make too many, so it's not overcrowded like you did on picture 7 with flowers. Also make some open places over the map try to create unique variations of map shapes and nature. The house is in my eyes to square so make it smaller like in the realistic world.

Last but not least try to make the water with the waterfall to go into the mountain since the water must come from somewhere .

Hey Archez .. i'm always prepared to face the advices of others for me to improve .. But if he's always talking like crap and always laughing at me at any thread then i don't want him to either be here .. did you get it?? he's always laughing at me .. at other threads and he doesn't know what does the word [MAPPING] Means he's just a writer<_<

Hmm.. his mapping is great its his second time mapping in this game, he dont know whats tibia, so he dont know whats walkable and whats not, he should get good reply's i guess, since its his fourth day in tibia + mapping, how about some more month's

I happen to know that Pedro is a good guy, and I really don't believe he'd let his anger against you impact on his evaluation of your mapping, if so he wouldn't rate it at all.

Because it is square, square doesn't necessarily mean that it looks like a square, it's more like "Think outside the box", there's no sudden turns, no small gaps, nothing like that, it just goes round round round all the way.
Also, the upper part of the mountain, outside the house, isn't walkable ground, so no. It isn't walkable.

So my own evaluation would be; Work more on your mapping, you need a lot of training with your nature detailing, I'm no professional mapper either, but it looks like you've just thought "Oh, there's nothing in that small spot, let's put a tree there."

Anyway, keep on working, you'll get there eventually.

Even tho he might be new to it, you still can't raise his mapping "expertise" just because he's new. So instead of protecting him against bad critisism, help him get better instead.

Shady says he dont want that writer to talk to him or to visit his posts he dont need his reply's or his advices, hes really pissed from him i just called him on phone he worked for 4 days on this then that expert writer didnt even think of telling him a good advice just "i dont like it" its so making some1 like mad or so, so he just dont need any reply's from him or his advices or nothing from him just to leave him alone

silent defender is really a good guy, (not that he votes expert) its coz its really good and you guys really shouldnt say

"It's squary" so what if its squary? its still a nice map so you think some1 might enter the server then go walk and go all over the ends of it, and then see its squary then say to him self "nah this place is squary ima quit"

thats impossible, its really impossible and i dont see nothing squary its excellent and good since its his second time mapping, you have to learn some mapping not everything to be like this on ur way especially for that expert story writer guy, hes like "i dont like it" , so that poor shady works on for days and yesterday he spent over 10 hours working on it slowly, at the end u just say "i dont like it" in seconds? , he have done a great work at least have a good reply towards him >.<
