Well personally I spent a lot on DeathZot 1 to get the server a dedicated host, also donated a bit on XDC. Although I would like to see some thing thrown my way for donating, but at the same time I do not. A. Because for all the people who donated on DeathZot 1 and XDC, DeathZot 2 Would be ruined before the server was even up for a day. B. I think it would give new players a false positive to the server ( They read forums on the server and say "Wow cool this server looks great!" but logs in seeing every one is running with RP RP RP like crazy and would make them quit on the spot. Some OT's did this and I never play them for more than a few minutes.). Not only that what we considered "end game" EQ was T6 back in DeathZot V1. Now its T12 every thing doubled basically. People would have "end game" EQ with in a few days.

But whats stopping people with like 2 grand in their back pockets wanting to control the server doing this from the start. I remember reading somewhere that there will be a system (whether this will be done manually by jake or shawn or this will be a automatic kinda thing, who knows) put in where if an item (Say T6) wasn't obtained in-game yet, It would not be available in the donation shop.

But you also got to remember, yes the server was up for a limited amount of time, Both DeathZot V1 and XDC, Donations are donations. You can't take back a donation in real life. Only PayPal can cuz PayPal doesn't follow Real life rules . Not like you gain much in Real life with donations too other than the satisfaction of helping someone or something

Yeah but the way shawn ended V1 is bs if u ask me.. he had everyone thinking it was gunna be back up in october and then just stopped responding and ignored everything to do with it and now hes coming out with a V2 which personally i dont think should be using the name Deathzot due to the fact it is very differant to deathzot. I think it should be released as a whole new project because hes not returning donations which normally when u reupload under the same name you do and 2 deathzot was deathzot and this well.,.. its not deathzot anymore its completely differant

Would sure hope so... I personally donated over 200$ to deathzot 1 and imo it would be unfair for the people in that OT to recieve theirs but not the people who donated in the old Deathzot which we were told when the new one opened we would recieve our donations back...

I said its probably on their and no not really because the way he had it described on the website would be that its not a donation. He had it so you are paying for items. ANd never said money back... said some sort of compensation for supporting the server a while back and when he promised us it would last and we would get them back when the server reopened. there buddy

To clear some of this up, It was Jake who did DeathZot V1 and Shawn helped out a bit (from my understanding) and now Jake, Shawn, and Snuggles are all working on the same project "DeathZot V2". This is why people who donated will not get donation back because it isn't ran by 1 person. This is almost like saying i donated in OTChaos than I should get items in DeathZot 8.0. I wasn't in DeathZot V1 in the second Era when he closed the server so I will not be putting words in jake's mouth about giving donations back in V2 or not, But it is the right idea not to give the donations back. Like I said before it would ruin the server in less than a day.

It isnt deathzot anymore lol... this a completely new project they should change the name in my opinion.

Just an opinion, but I'm pretty sure it's still Dzot, just "updated" if that means anything to you.

i would want it to stay named Deathzot so long as the Core game is still noticable as the original, and yes, even with all that has been changed, it still feels as deathzot. and its a good honoring to William hughes (or however u spell their last name) and the legacy that he created. so Deathzot should remain the name that lives on.

The only funny thing that could put a smile on my face is if Synth would put in a admin system/gm system into dzot 8.0 and removes all the hidden t100 items and then just thoriws it in. no work. nothing to do, everyones happy. or otm2 leli dont even care playing Diablo buuuuut so borring :< Plz gioef me smth to do pls

and the last time he put up Zot 8.0 1 year ago all of like 2 people played it aint claimed it was supercoool. even i, myself who loved old zot soooo much admire the newer level of custom features that V1 and V2 bring to the table vs Old zot in most cases
