DeathZot v2 (The Restoration Project) | Live Update Thread & Discussion

Not gonna go into too many details but would anyone be interested in streaming deathzot via twitch tv? I found Tibia on twitch.tv earlier this week and saw there's some interest there. I think it would be interesting if people would stream DeathZot and maybe bring some new players from there (just an idea). I'd be willing to give rewards for people who streamed the game. But I'm interested in people who would stream commentary and stuff ~ not just stream themselves botting.

I could, Since i botted less than 5% of v1

Yea i could stream most nights. I would probably make a new twitch account for it but yea I'm up for it.

I've only ever played it on console haha

Used to stream the orshabaals of the last 3 years in Rl tibia, no interest from people, same as annihilators, same for DHQ ,DH and so on, as for that, people wont know about deathzot beside the people who are playing. No clue if you rather watch people play deathzot or play it urself. considering the fact for example watching League of legends will bring in mechanical skills into the game and make watching interesting.Wile the only thing that you see in DZot would be EIGHTER botters OR people manualing doing the exact same as botters or going to bosses(which would be a shame to show on stream since they would probably reveal passwords & secret boss locations.) To check out vocations it woul be nice tho if people would show off theyre power in terms of hunting, btu i dont think the viewer number would go up toooo much.

I disagree completely.

Streaming is a great idea, for one thing that was stated, seeing what other vocations are like at certain (high) levels. It's why people cast and have popular casts.

Your lack of the ability to read properly has been proven. I said the ONLY good aspect is to see highlevel vocations. do you even english?

Would people watch the stream though? I mean anyone who's even interested in the server would probably play it instead of watching a stream haha, but who knows it actually it a pretty cool idea. :)

The point of streaming it is to attract new people to play... so yes they might rather play than watch, but if the stream brings in more people to play then its worth it

Actually, YOUR inability to read properly was proven. I stated that it was already stated, but it's not the only reason, just one of the many reasons why streaming is a great option.

Everyone is acting like streaming is so intensely difficult to do (especially since the max is 720p), that it would somehow need some huge payoff in viewer numbers to be worth it. It's not, and it doesn't, getting extra exposure out there through whatever means is always worth it.

streaming takes 10 mins to set up and costs nothing. feel free to stream.

We should start a "Streaming Tibia" movement, I wonder if I could integrate Twitchtv into the OTClient i'm making... That would be pretty intense.

I bet I can, I'll toy with the SDK later and see if I can get it into the OTClient.

That would really be amazing, I think you can do it.

Yea I just started reading up on it, Twitch offers a free SDK so it's possible.
I am adding it to my Imagined Server Checklist of things to do :)

@Flatlander Raise that shit to the top of your todo list :)

There are a few problems I have already thought up for it.
First, Anyone that sees a Tibia Stream will probably end up at tibia.com (Never enter the OpenTibia community).
Secondly, not many people use to OTClient right now. (Expecially since it doesn't have a bot)

I need to:
  1. Make my client work with all client versions (So you can use it on any server)
  2. Make an integrated bot for OTClient so people can compete with elfbot users on the normal client (Also make it so TFS can detect the bot and disable it)
  3. Integrate Twitch.tv into the client.
This way more people will use the client when playing any server, and be able to stream on it.

I used to stream on this random ass ot... nd i used to have 30 poeple like watching at all times im sure people would watch on here aswell

Aside from Streaming.
Any info at all about beta?
Can't wait to play this.
Been playing RoS but it aint no Xagul Scripted OT there!
