If you could change all tibia controls, What would your keybindings look like? (Post your set-up!)

I am customizing the OTClient to have keybinding options.
I know there are people that use Tibia Classic, and Tibia Default controls already.

I would like to know what you guys would set your controls to if you had the choice. If you have any customized keybindings that you would prefer, or any other keybindings you'd like to be able to change let me know. I think it would be cool if everyone could set up their controls to make playing tibia easier. (Right now you basically need 3 hands)

  • Move North:
  • Move East:
  • Move South:
  • Move West:
  • Move NorthEast:
  • Move SouthEast:
  • Move SouthWest:
  • Move NorthWest:
  • Move to Mouse Location:
  • Attack Creature at Mouse Location:
  • Follow Creature at Mouse Location:
  • Look at Mouse Location:
  • Use Item at Mouse Location:
  • Additional Options: (Yes/No)
    • Chat Toggle: (Toggles Chat on/off with a hotkey such as Return)

Personally I would use the following:
  • Move North: W
  • Move East: D
  • Move South: S
  • Move West: A
  • Move NorthEast: W+D
  • Move SouthEast: S+D
  • Move SouthWest: S+A
  • Move NorthWest: N+A
  • Move to Mouse Location: Left Mouse Button
  • Attack Creature at Mouse Location: Alt + Left Mouse Button
  • Follow Creature at Mouse Location: Z + Left Mouse Button
  • Look at Mouse Location: Shift + Left Mouse Button
  • Use Item at Mouse Location: Ctrl + Left Mouse Button
  • Additional Options: (Yes/No)
  • Chat Toggle: Yes (Enter/Return as hotkey)
**Edit** Removed Smart-Walking and added key combinations for diagonals.

Keyboard keys like F R T Q E for hotkeys, combining them with CTRL and SHIFT would be even better. Or for example SHIFT + movement key(WASD) makes you "run" and without it you get that 0.5 second pause per tile.

The ability to use more mouse buttons(like the MMB or side buttons)for the other tasks you mentioned(use item, look at location, etc)would be fantastic

Flash client has an attack hotkey where you press it to attack the first creature in the battle list (or nearest creature, can't remember).
That's what I truly miss in the classic client.

Anyways, here's my list:

  • Move North: Up Arrow
  • Move East: Right Arrow
  • Move South: Down Arrow
  • Move West: Left Arrow
  • Move NorthEast: W
  • Move SouthEast: S
  • Move SouthWest: A
  • Move NorthWest: Q
  • Move to Mouse Location: Left Mouse Button
  • Attack Creature at Mouse Location: Right Mouse Button
  • Follow Creature at Mouse Location: Alt + Right Mouse Button
  • Look at Mouse Location: Shift + Right/Left Mouse Button
  • Use Item at Mouse Location: Right Mouse Button
  • Additional Options: Yes
    • Attack nearest creature: Home
    • Attack creature through battle list - Scroll down to next creature: Pg Dn
    • Attack creature through battle list - Scroll up to next creature: Pg Up

  • Move North: W
  • Move East: D
  • Move South: S
  • Move West: A
  • Move NorthEast: W+D
  • Move SouthEast: S+D
  • Move SouthWest: S+A
  • Move NorthWest: W+Q
  • Move to Mouse Location: Left Mouse Button
  • Attack Creature at Mouse Location: Right Mouse Button
  • Follow Creature at Mouse Location: Ctrl+ Right Mouse Button
  • Look at Mouse Location: Right+Left Mouse Button
  • Use Item at Mouse Location: Right Mouse Button(Maybe +AltRight Mouse Button
  • Additional Options: Yes
    • Chat Toggle: Yes (Enter/Return as hotkey)

Id say to have a Default, and let the player do changes, to have it Customizable.

So you still prefer the 3 hand control scheme :P lol.
TO each his own I guess!

I can definitely make hotkeys for attacking nearest creature and toggling to the next/previous creature on your screen.

That is the goal, there will be a window for setting all your Keybindings. I just need to make sure all the possible requested keybindings will be on the list, and all the mouse-options will work.

Brilliant Idea Flatlander! I personally am used to and comfortable with tibia classic control, however I believe any true gamer would relish the opportunity to customize their own controls.

I'm gonna be totally honest, the classic control is best for me. I've played with it for over a decade (holy shit, just realized my 10th anniversary with last week) and it completely dwarfs any other controls I have used.

WASD walking, would fucking love it :)
